RAWRRRRR!
I’m Jamie and this is my Tumblr dedicated to my adoration of Studio Ghibli <3
When I was very little, my dad recorded late night cartoons for me to watch during the day time, and one of the cartoons he recorded for me was “Laputa: The Flying Island” (as it was known back then, here in England).
From the moment I first watched it, I fell in love with it and it was my favourite childhood film. I watched that tape hundreds and hundreds of times, until it was worn out and almost unwatchable. Funnily, because my dad had missed recording the first few minutes of the film, and also the credits, I had no idea it was even made by Studio Ghibli.
It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered its origin, and with it the many other Studio Ghibli films, and with each one I watched, the more I fell in love with Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki.
Anyway, so here I am, devoting my free time to making animated gifs and spreading the genius of Studio Ghibli.
I hope that you enjoy them! ^__^
